Reese’s peanut butter cups are my all time favorite candy! This recipe is seriously DELICIOUS and high in healthy fats and protein! Make this recipe tonight when you’re handing out candy to trick-or-treaters!
Crust Ingredients:
1/4 cup almonds
2-3 pitted dates
1 Tbsp cocoa powder
2 tsp vanilla extract
Crust Directions:
Place all ingredients in a food processor until dough is formed
Spray cupcake tins with vegetable oil (this will make 3 large cups or 8 small cups) and press crust into bottom and sides of tins
Refrigerate for 15 minutes
Chocolate Filling Ingredients:
Chocolate Filling Directions:
Blend all ingredients together until thick and smooth
Spoon filling into each crust lined tin (the filling should take up 1/3 of the cup)
Refrigerate for 15 minutes
Peanut Butter Filling Ingredients:
3 Tbsp all natural peanut butter
2 Tbsp almond butter
Peanut Butter Filling Directions:
Blend peanut butter and almond butter together until smooth and creamy
Spoon mixture into tin and spread over chocolate filling
Refrigerate for 15 minutes
Top with remaining chocolate, refrigerate for one hour and enjoy
