Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day! Whether you’re on a date with that special someone or partying with your bff’s, we all want to look our best for our Valentine’s celebrations! Below are my favorite tips for enhancing your natural beauty before hitting the town:
1. Drink water! I say it all the time, but drinking plenty of water will help you look your best. Try to drink at least half your body weight in ounces of water. Drinking water will help to reduce bloat, increase energy, flush out toxins and improve the appearance of skin. Drinking water will always have you look and feel your best!
2. Get a workout in! A cardio workout the day of a big event will help give you a beautiful post workout glow, reduce bloat and increase energy. Performing pilates exercises and some weight training will help improve body tone. Exercising the day of an event will not cause a drastic difference in your body composition, but your abdominals and arms will appear more toned and sexy.
3. Drink your greens. One of my favorite ways to make my skin glow is to drink a spinach smoothie. Spinach and kale are loaded with Vitamin A, which is known to help improve skin clarity and radiance! Drink your greens and you’ll have an amazing glow for your special date!
4. Exfoliate. There’s no better way to get soft and beautiful skin than by exfoliating. If you’d like a more natural way to exfoliate your body, try the following: mix a 1/2 cup hazelnut, almond or grapeseed oil and 1 cup fine sea salt. Add 10-15 drops of essential oils. Here are some of my favorite combinations of essential oils: 7 drops basil and 7 drops peppermint (energizing), 7 drops clary sage and 7 drops lavender (relaxation), 10-15 drops grapefruit (water retention and cellulite), or create your own blend!
