This years Penn State football team is arguably the most beloved in the school’s history. The Nittany Lions prove that hard work and dedication yields results!
Learn From The Past, Don’t Dwell On It. With key players leaving the team and two devastating losses to Ohio University and University of Virginia, the Penn State football season seemed destined for failure. Many people lost faith in the team, but the Nittany Lions never lost sight of their goals. After the losses, the team said they were going to watch the tapes and learn from their mistakes. They did exactly that and are currently 4-2 this season. This team inspires the underdog in all of us! Everyone fails sometimes, it’s how we handle the failure which indicates our inner spirit. If something doesn’t go your way, are you just going to give up, or are you going to look back at your tapes, learn from your mistakes and create a new game plan? Be honest with yourself, where did you go wrong in your last attempt to get healthy? Keep pushing until you find an exercise program that fills you with joy and a diet that leaves you feeling satisfied with boundless energy. You may have small setbacks, but that does not mean you will have a losing season!
Talk the talk AND walk the walk!
The Penn State football team believed in their abilities and made it known that they would be able to win football games. Saying that they are going to win football games and actually doing it are two different things. No matter what happens the rest of the season, they’ve worked hard and practiced hard to back up their words with action. How many times have you said tomorrow I will start watching my diet, or I will begin working out? Now’s the time to walk the walk, once you do this you will feel empowered and fierce! It’s time to go for it! 🙂
Use The Crowd’s Support!
When it looks like Penn State is out of the game, the crowd will get behind the team and cheer them onto victory! Many football players have said that they feed off the energy of the crowd and so should you. On days when you lose the drive to continue on your healthy lifestyle, have a support system in place that can act as your own personal cheerleaders. Sometimes it’s hard to avoid temptation, but knowing that you have the support of the crowd will help you prevent defeat!
