I am now reading The Magic, from Rhonda Byrne who wrote The Secret. The book talks about the importance of gratitude in your life. A positive outlook and gratitude will not only change your mood, but can help create change in all areas of your life (including your body). How many times do you look in the mirror and think, my stomach/butt/thighs/arms are fat; I need to exercise! Have you ever gone shopping and said I could never wear that, I’m too fat! Those negative thoughts are holding you back from creating change in your life while decreasing your self esteem.
Today I challenge you to stop looking for the negative in your life and your body! Rather than thinking about all the inches you need to lose around your midsection/butt/thighs/arms, think about how grateful you are for them. Everyday, I’d like you to say 10 things that you are grateful for in relationship to your health or body. Are you grateful for your strong arms, or that your legs help you dance? Counting your blessings will always help create a more positive body image and will bring about changes in your life. When you feel amazing about yourself, you will allow more positive things to move into your life; you will eat a healthier diet and participate in more physical activity.
Try this challenge for one week and I promise you’ll see and feel a difference immediately!
